Quality Migrant Admission Scheme (QMAS)
Background
The Quality Migrant Admission Scheme (QMAS) is designed to attract highly skilled or talented individuals to settle in Hong Kong, boosting the city’s economic competitiveness.
Applicants, with no security objection and no record of serious crime, are not required to secure a local job offer prior to submitting their application or obtaining approval for settlement. Successful applicants may bring their spouse or a partner with whom they have a legally recognized relationship (such as same-sex civil partnerships, same-sex civil unions, "same-sex marriage," opposite-sex civil partnerships or opposite-sex civil unions), as well as unmarried dependent children under the age of 18, to reside in Hong Kong. However, applicants must demonstrate the financial ability to independently support the living and accommodation expenses of their dependents without relying on public assistance in Hong Kong.
